I came back to post a summary of quarterlies from a small selection of exploration companies so I won't address much more tonight.

Tried for "
pure" exploration companies, multiple commodities and locations, no effort to stack with expensive or cheap explorers - some from memory others by chance from the home page of HC. Definitely not a scientific or statistical selection.
AZS is not at the top or the bottom with Q1 2018 staff costs higher than the average for the previous 2 quarters. Seasonal/exploration variations can be quite large.

Over the 9 month period staff average ~$280K/Q and Admin ~$480 or ~$760K/Q combined. Close enough to the $814K and $64K/wk -- I registered the $50K figure but not the time frame from a previous post [mea culpa].
AZS is not the most expensive company around for staff and admin and definitely not the cheapest based on this very simple and small 'survey'.
The impression I get from your posts is that expenditures for AZS are (perhaps) uniquely high. As I said in my previous post I suspected AZS was "high" but why not post something similar for CDV and XAM or others which far exceed AZS or acknowledge the range of expenditures.
Regarding the timeline I agree there may be some room to fast track - How much and at what cost in terms of dollars and the chance for making serious mistakes has to be weighed up against the benefit of successful production or not.
I did suggest looking at what other companies have achieved in terms of fast 'discovery' to mining which could suggest such fast tracking is possible and desirable.
That will be more difficult and time consuming than simple quarterly research where data is laid out in a predictable format - [the numbers probably mean different things to different companies so comparisons could be tenuous].
