I think that 180T exchange tells us something there. (In relation to the above)
It crossed my mind that once funds have enough control (Stock)they may set about lowering their overall buy in price given enough time during a lull in activity. Some of the CBA substantial buy in prices I checked were around $1.40 with help from Bell Direct from memory.
I could go on but as I was once X files devotee and I have been known to take some theorems a bit to far such as short selling is an instrument of the devil for world domination.
It wouldn't surprise me what goes on behind the scenes though.
