Subsequently, that person was hamstrung and when the MD was ...politely shown the door, was promoted, and 12 months later, the incoming GM (JS) tried to do a similar plan ad-hoc and was met with open arms due to the predicament that the company had been put in, but the damage had been done to the plant that was too costly to try rectify and when the ex MD came back as the Chairman of the Board (god knows why) that person subsequently quit when that chairman started having metallurgical input into the running of AND reporting of data from the plant.
