A lot of people disagree with me, but I think the electric car is a solution looking for a problem. I don't mind it though, good investment opportunity, but... if you look at the technical problems with it, left right and centre... battery capacity, electricity grid robustness, price points. Some posters berate me that 'peak oil is just around the corner...' and 'that I've got no idea..' Meanwhile, despite forests of wind mills and acres of solar panels, 80% of worldwide electricity is still produced by coal and gas. We have a glut of that stuff while combustion engines become more and more sophisticated. My car costs 17k and runs on $35 of petrol/month. Then again, there was the Y2K bug... and I've got a harbour bridge to sell to you... )
