I'm taking a long term position 5-10 years.. There was a good article in the Financial review yesterday regarding the benefit of LNG exports to the Australia's and how LNG accounts for a significant portion of exports to foreign markets.
Now what this article also pointed out is that bar 1 or two companies there is no more production in the pipeline due to the restrictions in exploration. Hmmm will the Treasurer and PM do something about this and pull their finger out ?
I think if there is a legislation at a federal level and clear government direction on LNG then exploration companies will invest.
I've got my money in clean energy and consider this my hedge to have long term investments in Natural Gas.
I'm not looking to get my money out period. I'm quite happy with my investment staying LKO good, or bad outcome from the judges decision.
