The pricing of this stock is more than strange it is inexplicable and irrational.
It has remained mispriced for a long time. I have held for 8 years and am a top 20 shareholder. It is the lowest risk and most undervalued junior resource coy on the ASX. It has a proven build and sell record with OBS. Also AJQ and ANW are now producers. AJQ is nearly cashflow positive. The bid for Santos highlights the value of this asset.
I detect a sea change recently. The recent presentation to Mines and Money Hong Kong shows a more assertive approach which will help the price. They state the share price should be at least double the current price in the most direct manner to date. There is a strong hint that one or more floats are upcoming. I could see more institutional investment this year. Tribeca are one of the top performing fund managers globally. I predict they could look to buy on market as making profits of 100-200% is out of their playbook.
I don't see a bid at 0.25 succeeding. The top 20 have well over 50% and most are directors or employees or very long term holders. Many of the top 20 have increased their holding in the past year. We are on the cusp of a rerate of SOLGs price. The tax loss selling should be over. Blackrock has 5% and are there for a big gain. Once SOLG reaches 60p our NTA approaches 0.50. Every other junior I have invested in over the past 20 years has traded for multiples of NTA. I wouldn't sell any for less than 1.00.
I don't believe NM is looking to privatize DGR. This is part of his retirement fund and in the long run he and the other staff members will get a better price and more flexible sale conditions with a listed coy.
