I believe that the cost for a HDPE liner for the ponds is in the order of $10 per m2. Think about the size of the evap ponds and that cost gets pretty large!

Some of the announcements talk about geotech testing of the lake clay layer and on-lake ponds, without checking I think they have a seepage number in there. Either way it seems a little silly to be proposing to do something without at least some testing to backup the theory.
