We got his general view years ago that Dy is a small market and not worth pursuing as a mine - we’ve all noted that and we’d like to move on. Toyota might be developing vehicles without Dy but those said vehicles aren’t 100% reliant on their PPM - they’re a hybrid and they run on petrol too (most of the time). If (like Tesla) Toyota start making proper EV’s that run for hours and hours in ambient temperatures of +48 degrees tell me how their PMM can cope with this heat? Water cooling? Why spend +$500 on water cooling when adding less than $100 worth of Dy to the magnet composition would suffice?
