    Don't EVER give anyone your private key. This is WORSE than giving some random person online your client number and password for your bank account. WORSE, because this isn't a custodial system where the bank or law enforcement have a small possibility of reversing it at massive overhead cost.

    I've seen articles written in the MSM (I believe one of them was Fortune Magazine), where they've recommended handing your private key over to a solicitor, 'in case you die'. If you gave the 'more secure' advice of handing over your bank client number and password in the article, it's doubtful it would have made it past editorial review.
