Here's a bit of OXX news to keep those interested better informed. The Winchester gas and condensate discovery (farmed out 75% to Santos) had some pre-Christmas action. An Application for Declaration of a Location over the Winchester gas discovery has been lodged by Santos on 25 Sept 2017 and is currently being assessed. Declaration of Location is a pre-requisite for seeking a Retention Lease over Winchester, which is a pre-requisite prior to development. On 22 Dec 2017, WA-323-P had a suspension of the year 5 work permit conditions to 5 July 2018. The term of the exploration permit was also extended to 5 July 2018. Winchester because of its location, close to existing pipelines and also close to other discoveries, is bound to be developed in due course. This will rank shortly as another pre-development asset alongside Cornea and Ascalon. DYOR IMHO

I was beginning to think it would never happen but yesterday 17 Jan, Santos' Application for Declaration of a Location over the Winchester gas discovery, moved on to the Joint Authority (JA) for Decision. As all the OXX long-term holders well know, Winchester was an exciting discovery with deeper untapped potential. DYOR IMHO
