Honestly...Regardless of what people think...If you dont get some Exposure to Cryptocurrency....You will get Left in the Cryptodust.....As a Longterm Investor Myself I Find that looking past the short term noise and not following most of the herd to the short-term bitcoin slaughter..I have chosen to Invest at a slower pace and buying bitcoin when I need to( I Dont actually Hold Any bitcoin at all, Its just a vehicle to purchase the Altcoins That have Longterm "True" Value)...for example most ICO's and Direct Coin Purchases require you to buy bitcoin in the first instance as they only accept that at the moment (As time passes and other coins of "True" Value gain Traction..These coins will be Inter-tradeable imo.)
As per question...Australia as Usual is well behind in the crypto space...These "Exchanges" are not Real Exchanges per se, But act More like Brokers in a negotiation between you and the Real Exchanges and Charge an Arm and a Leg for the privilege,
I have currently used Coinbase where you can buy only but not sell.. Bitcoin..Bitcoin cash...Ethreum and Litecoin...I Use them from time to Time to buy small amounts which I then Transfer to a Real Exchange overseas to buy my alt coins. (If you use this method...Word of warning...Bitcoin Transfer fees are absolutely ridiculous..so I generally choose buy either Ethreum or Litecoin then transfer those externally.
Coinjar allows Buying and selling of Bitcoin...but Bitcoin Only...For Larger Transactions I tend to use them..Even though Their buy Prices appear to be well above market rates and their sell prices well below (As an Investor I am looking past this in the shorter term as my main focus is accumulating altcoins of true value Now) Coinjar allows Bpay..Polipay..and Direct instant Cash deposit via Blushyft.
As for Coinspot...I have not used them yet...They have a larger exposure to alt coins Though...But not the coin I was accumulating...Hence I had to transfer...coins to an overseas Exchange ...Cryptopia.nz in order to buy..
I Am not a Huge fan of Bitcoin itself as I think its quite Old and Outdated and actually quite Slow...So My Aim in the Old crypto space was to find Newer quicker coins with Tangible assets that are Tradeable.
Its Not all about Bitcoin.... its all about Blockchain and The Tech That We utilise it as a vehicle to Thrust us Into the Future
