I am not very informed in this particular area of business as it is well beyond my time resources. Who is in a position to take over depends on the inner workings and position of a number of players. IOOF comes to mind, but there a number of others including overseas funds. As for poor performance, I use a simple metric - what fraction of FUM filters down to net profits? In the case of Pacific it is 2.6 basis points. To me it looks like anything under 10-13 basis points is a poor show.
