G'Day Folks
None of the following information relates to whether there will be a bid or not, but it will help you to better understand where the business is currntly at.
Last week the National Manager for their Software Licensing Business resigned to join a competitor and has taken three of the top staff from that buisness unit. That Business Unit has a revenue of over $160m.
Last week two of their top infrastructure salespeople resigned to join competitors.
An email has been sent out today to senior Commander staff, stating that all sales under 8% margin require the approval of Steve Evans. It has been known for quite a while that this email would be coming and that is why some senior sales staff have already resigned. This move will further infuriate customers and staff members alike. There will increased customer and staff attition because of this action. There will be significant vendor disquite as well.
It is a tactic which is designed to bolster margins in the short term, however it can only reduce sales in the longer term.
There is currently a recruitment freeze at Commander, again designed to bolster short term results. However there is an obvious downside - for example the Brisbane office no longer has a receptionist. Sales positions are not being replaced either.
You can all draw your own conclusions from these recent changes at Commander and work out for yourselves what you think is about to happen.

Tails
