The MRPDA continues its path through the NCOP but it still looks like the bill will still meet the December deadline set by Zuma.
Eight provinces of the nine provinces have now supported the bill (with some suggested amendments) with one asking for more time to consider.
The Department of Mineral Resources will now review the suggested amendments and report back to NCOP Land and Mineral Resources Committee on the 28th November in time for the next meeting.
My understanding is that once the Provinces via the Committee approves the bill it can be voted on and then sent to the President for final approval.
