What is clear from the earlier hydrology report is that surface recharge will dilute the brine recoverable from trenches and that bores are ultimately necessary to maintain concentrations.
I assume that as recharge occurs slightly more brine has to be pumped to maintain annual production but eventually (at some point in the future) the trenches will simply fill with surface recharge
None of this is unique to RWD.
I can't see the full FS being complete without confirmation that viable production bores exist. Without bores the mine life is only around 10 years according to this quarterly.
Let's hope the 100 year flooding is the reason we don't have confirmation of viable bores.
