Well the history will tell you many incl recent shareholders who were described as sophisticated have not unearthed a single discovery. Just remember the sophistication for these people lies in what they can afford to lose. Whilst the actual amount seems a lot the fact is it normally relates to pocket money for them, rather a guarantee for success. These folk usually escape unscathed too!
