I can think of a company where the CEO may have had designs on manipulating share prices , playing funny buggers with the company until he was told by a regulator that he was no longer able to hold his position .
A very good newcCEO was put in in the position and started running the company honestly . He not only dug the company out of the hole it was in but he reduced costs , started paying dividends to shareholders and increased the share price for shareholders and increased the wealth of the old CEO significantly.
He has just announced his retirement from the board but he has shown how running a company honestly is more beneficial to all than not .
