Answers to the question are based on the assessment that the underlying value of the share post a yes vote is 8.6c being NPV / shares on issue.
1) A no vote will have an initial knee jerk reaction downward say to 5c. However, this should trigger a takeover or some other form of re- pricing to above 8.6 c in less than 6 months . That is based on the proviso the strong Zn price getting stronger. I note IBG are seeking finance for their mine with guaranteed Chinese based financing at what I assume is a much stronger result to ours. This type of result with mineral projects is not uncommon you only get a terrible price if you agree to be hoodwinked into believing there is only one buyer i.e. you're a forced seller.
2) I think there may be a short period of staying at say 7.7c or rally till the market comes to it's senses and effectively prices the risk return. This is likely to be at a time of general volatility in the markets likely catalysts being: geopolitical turmoil; a falling US market and/or a falling iron ore price.
3) I'd rather not disclose my specfic strategy but I'll make these points.
a) I have much less of the stock now.
b) A profit maximising assumption would include buying in the SPP at 7c and selling above that.
c) No I don't think exploration success justifies the risk and my reduced holding will be displaced by other holdings that offer better value. I have noted IBG above in the Zn space but there are several other stocks in my portfolio (which I comment on) in a variety of commodities that are hungry for capital and will in due course get it based on the perceived risk return ratio.
You can see from my answers above there's a dissonance between the short term and medium term outlook. How one reacts is based on whether one is a trader or an medium term investor. This forum by it's very nature favours the former. Better returns (as far as I'm concerned) favour the latter.
Further I think both may be right at times and hence the diversity of views and opinions.
So in terms of voting and it's getting pretty late, people need to decide which game they're in.
