PE ratio close to 40 is high, but if they can do another 30% NPAT growth again next year (which the company was punished for 6 months ago), then they will be on a PE ratio of 29 next year, based on its current share price of $51.42. In my opinion, I think a current PE ratio of 25/30 is too low for this company with its growth profile. But as you say, it depends on what profit growth the company can achieve moving forwards.
If the company can keep achieving NPAT growth of 30%, I will be very happy as a shareholder and the future PE will fall quick enough based on the current PE and share price e.g. if it can achieve NPAT growth of 30% for next 3 years, it will have a future PE of 17 times on the current share price.
