look-the amount of litter actually collected out there in reality land is just 1% plastic bags.
so let's just follow your madness of an idea, and stop plastic bags totally.
sure you will feel all chuffed like a typical wombat 'red' Greenie, but you will still have 99% plastic in circulation and the breakdown % of propylene is a lot greater in plastics like bottles, packaging, and you name it!
ps- what are Coles and Woolies going to provide as an alternative in the fruit and veg.section? it sure ain't going to be paper bags, and the plastic bags currently, which are thinner than the checkout bags will remain status quo.
and guess what Crazypunter will be doing when shopping for fresh produce-Yes, i will be hoarding them as they are free.
