The 13.5M new shares to be issued represent 7.55% of total shares on issue. ie, if you son't participate in the SPP you will be diluted by 7.55%. However, you may participate in the SPP up to $5K, so if you buy 7.55% or more of your existing holding you won't be diluted.
To be disadvantaged, $5000 would have to be less than 7.55% of your portfolio, ie: your current portfolio value would need to be $66,193.
Do you hold >$66,193 of HSN or are you just complaining about how the ASX is unfair & rigged again for the sake of it?
