There are few actual details here and still 3+ years away from any commercial production at least.  Can't really comment on that.

What Ionic can learn is that having a cornerstone investor with cash is critical.  They have a project with funding and a plan to move to commercialisation.  

Ionic needs a major investor who has nothing to do with SER/VXL.  I no longer hold SER but I am an Ionic shareholder.  I like their tech especially the potential of the supercapacitors, but it still needs more R&D to commercialise.  It's still in the lab at this point.  Let's hope they can build a prototype in the next 9 months with commercial potential and find a partner.
