GLNG or APLNG or QCLNG are all separate entity to the companies who they are buying gas from. CNOOC, Sinopec, Total,.. are shareholders of those LNG projects.

The LNG projects buy gas from domestic gas suppliers to sell overseas. And our government said yes, you can buy the gas for your plants.

All these overseas companies plus our own companies buy our own gas to sell overseas.

Just like overseas students buy the formula milk off our own supermarket to sell overseas.

We can't blame the buyer or seller as they are happy to do so. It's market place. BUT the government can say hang on, you can buy but keep some to keep our society functioning well. Otherwise, neither buyer or seller would care when they can match the prices.
