@flexiroam Thanks for the reply. I can advise that the “error retrieving token” error no longer appears with the most recent update (Galaxy S6 user) - thank you!
I did however notice in this update you have removed the $10USD annual membership (with auto-renewal) in favour of data bundles with expiry dates. My understanding is that my current unused data will now expire 31 May 2017.
The effect to me as an early adopter is that rather than paying an additional $10USD to keep the ~3GB alive for my next overseas trip, I am now faced with losing all of the data, and then having to select a data bundle based on my expected level of usage and the duration of my upcoming trips. Further, I notice the Plan Renewal toggle button has defaulted back to 'off' and that to turn it back on, I must agree to a renewal of a data bundle that expires after a specified duration.
Can you confirm the above is correct?
If so, it certainly is a dramatic shift in the way you are marketing the product. I must admit, as a customer I'm pretty p*ssed off at the changes. I'm sure that @praetorian will likely have some fairly strong views too!
As an investor, I'm OK with it so long as it is the right decision for the business and adds shareholder value. Although I must admit if the change adversely impacts me as a customer, many others will likely feel the same. I hope your support team are prepared for the inevitable customer backlash, and that your network is prepared for the potential spike in demand as users like me rush to use their data before it expires.
I suspect the change has been brought about by a shift towards a less cost conscious target market. (Read iPhone users). I note there has been a marked swing in the download split between Android and iOS recently, having moved from 75% Android to roughly 50%.
If this is the strategy, or if you are able to provide any comments now or in the upcoming quarterly it would be greatly appreciated.
