Thanks for that video @abdm. Yes, I was vaguely aware about comments made by Mr Buffett, but had never seen the video. So thanks.

I know this is a clichė, but I'm not one to easily disagree with the man that sparked my investing journey some 17 years ago, and that I have admired for a long time and done my fair share of reading about.

And I'm certainly not going to disagree with him here (though given how the Church of Warren is now swelling with much adulating members, I'm tempted).

However, investing is about more than just picking winners and losers. It's about paying the right price.

So if I see a business that is producing solid cashflows, with a demonstrated ability to do so under tough retail times, and in a retail environment which, buoyant as it seems, on my viewing, has likely got legs yet (forgive me for appearing to forecast), who's price is not overly demanding, in a space where an obvious and scary threat (Amazon) is no secret to anyone, selling products that, in the main are not in the most immediate firing-line, and in the knowledge that it will take few years for the supply chain to be established in this country... well you might (perhaps) see why I am tempted to just sit on that cashflow for a while.

But yes, as I've already said, it's a real threat.

PS: Wrt to QIN, my suggestion is that we preface accusations with the word "alleged".
