I run a business as I'm sure many other people do. You don't need to be Richard Branson to know that putting your eggs in one basket is dangerous. The risk assessment was woeful, the due diligence weak and not having a plan B to move quickly on was a rookie error. That I'm afraid is all on Hamish and the team.
Any apologists for Hamish are naive in my view. Just because he's a nice bloke to talk to doesn't exonerate him from the mess we are in now.
