The amazing thing about this bull market is that small stocks have become the new safe haven during corrections. Gotta love it. Loaded up on speccies and sold down my calls yesterday in anticipation of the carnage last night on the dow. Some speccies might drift back a bit, but they are holding more of there value than most of the big caps.
My theory is that big caps attract risk averse retail investors, who pull their money on any wobble, plus they are able to be shorted, exagerating the downside effect. Small stocks have traders, investors more accepting of risk, and are held more tightly during the dips.
Either way, GSE is my pick of the lot for the next two months.
