"The performance numbers are skewed by an extraordinary underperformance against their Small Ordinaries Accumulation Index benchmark in January, 5.7%."
Mooro,
The minus 5.7% relative to the XSOaccum Index is the result in February not January.
It was comprised of CTN -4.4% and XSOaccum +1.3% = -5.7%
The year to date to the end of Feb relative to the XSO accum Index is 16.7% - 16.8% = -0.1%
The year to date to the end of Jan was 21.5% - 16.4% = 5.1%
Moving it a month doesn't make it any more palatable.
Minus 5.7% is quite a drop, considering that it is in a diversified portfolio.
As my next door neighbour tells me when I complain about under-performing the index, he says you must have the wrong stocks.
Talk about a statement of the bleeding obvious.
Cheers
