178m barrels x 10% = 17.8m barrels
17.8m barrels x (say) $50 usd per barrel
Less costs:
17.8m barrels x (say) $21 usd per barrel
Source: http://graphics.wsj.com/oil-barrel-breakdown/
Equals:
17.8m barrels x (say) $29 usd per barrel
$516,200,000
Someone wanna discount that?
Disclaimer: I am new to shares. This is the only oil stock I've ever owned or looked at. The link above from WSJ may or may not be helpful. But someone here really should do the math (inc discounting) on this. Add on potential Forex gains if USD rises/AUD falls and the party gets even better.
All personal opinion, pure speculation, DYOR, seek professional advice, I'm new to shares and typed this with an iPhone putting very little thought into it, this is simplistic and there will be things I have overlooked etc
