Noble Energy Pty Ltd is a private company that is a subsidiary of Tasman Resources Ltd... it is completely owned by Tasman Resources Ltd... I am not saying that the directors of Tasman could not sell off Noble Energy Pty Ltd in the future, but they would have to answer to the shareholders... in the same way, the directors of Noble Energy Pty Ltd could do something foolish (or immoral ) with the money... they would have more distance between them and the shareholders, but not much.

"Tasman Resources Ltd and Noble Energy Pty Ltd, its wholly-owned Australian subsidiary, have formed an income tax consolidated group under the tax consolidation regime."
