"The cashflow was weak this half and that was certainly disappointing," said Suhas Nayak, an analyst at investment group Allan Gray.
Investors were surprised by the revelation that WorleyParsons was making "limited" progress on collecting $230 million in money owed by four state-owned customers, with some analysts concerned by company's statement that collection of funds was "a critical priority" amid concerns that it may have to raise equity if it does not recover the debts soon.
