Could have been worse, your 150,000 litre rain tank could have been full 3 months ago, start of summer, and your wife could have started a hose to water a tree down the side of the block. Eventually the tank ran dry, not sure how long it took, but probably a week or so. First I thought the pump had broken, then I checked the tank water level, and finally I found the culprit tap and hose.
Fortunatley our bore water is drinking quality, I had a sample tested at the lab. Hence, I filled the rain water tank up with bore water to get us through the summer. Aaaaarrrrgggghhhh ...... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
