The only thing that can demolish a share price is unsustainable economics, weak management or false accounting.
Short sellers just bring the demise faster. But competent management should want short sellers because it keeps the market honest. JBH was one of the most shorted stocks last few years, as was TPM... both very well managed companies but the share price didnt match the economics of the business at that point in time.
