Times are a changin

The WOW Select food range is mostly about matching Aldi and Cole's home brand.

Simple thing for Customers is dont buy Select canned fruit and tomatoes.

But what does it matter.

Aldi and cheap home brands have changed the environment for grocery shopping for ever now. imo
But Aldi they are close to their full capacity market share regardless of what some trumpet. imo

and you pay for what you get with Aldi, Home Brands, apparently in this day and age, quality does not matter.

Only the price.

Times are a changin alright because its gotten tougher for the average joe blow to get ahead in life especially with a young Family. Not to mention that "the good time stuff" Drinking, Gambling, Partying, Drugs etc and high Rents takes up the majority of the pay packet for the young ones(If they work).

FOOD? its way down the list and thats where Aldi and the Home Brands come in.!

Quality? What is that compared to missing out on a good time. lol

Aside from that
One plus for WOW I have been able to ascertain lately is that the new format being rolled out by WOW stores is gaining traction at those few stores. Its early days but the signs are good and BWS also has a new online plan happening.

It appears WOW is trying to gain traction in online sales(Grocery and Beer) to get the jump on any new competitor eg Amazon. Seems to be the plan imo anyway!

As others have mentioned on here Australia is a different ball game to what Amazon is used to. imo


The next 12 mths for WOW will be interesting. It'll be a hard road for all retailers with our small population. WOW will still be the first choice retailer but will it be enough to substantially move the shareprice. Cashed up and no where to go will not move the shareprice substantially. We need the game changer imo whatever it is.
