gttrain- the main reason WES fell today is because of the very low same store sales growth of Coles. it is declining markedly.
so basically, where are the lost customers going? no way they are going to Aldi, as reports are, that enterprise is in decline or flat at best, so that just leaves Woolies.
if you then extrapolate the lost customers from Coles and theoretically place them into Woolies shopping aisles, then it should be quite evident to you that the upcoming sales report this Friday will beat consensus forecast.
that said, i am going to now base my reputation on a forecast- the SP of WOW this Friday will open well above $26 and finish the day's trading at who knows where?
