I'm not so sure there is any particular Chinese animosity towards Australia, other than the usual political argy bargy and bluster. I think this is all about breaking the Chinese laws, and in particular about dealing with the massive outflow of cash. It is also about China asserting control (or trying) over its wealthier citizens I suspect. I think there will be growth in the channels for extracting money that the government is not watching, and casinos will shrink as a conduit.

I have even heard that Xi would like to retire to Tasmania - lol.
