...and why wouldn't you be? After nearly 3 months land based, two weeks ago took control of a 47 foot cat and started cruising the islands: and only have 3 months to go. Hopefully hurricane season will finish without incident, but every day watch the storms looming all around as every low passes. Parts of me are bored as I did live here for ten years, but photo ops keep popping up. I will continue to post them. I am not a good photographer and unlike my 6 months around Oz, here I can't be bothered to enhance them on the computer. Just too bloody hot and generator time is limited. Out on the deck where it is cool, I can,t see the screen for the glare.

Quietly flyfishing one day at east end of Tortola when a herd of shetlands, for want of a better word, charged past me, came back for a pat, then disappeared
The pelican in this part of the world.Different in colours and habits. Loved to dive into the water for their prey.
First stop - Norman Is; known to be an old pirate haunt. 50 Tarpon, 4-5 foot took up residence under the boat for all the days. Couldn't hook one.
Second stop - Cooper Is

Next stop Trellis Bay at the east end of Tortola and next to the airport. 30 years ago there may have been a couple of planes a day. Now; it didn't stop - all day.
Next, Marina Cay, a small Is leased by the Pussers Rum makers

Pelicans had eagle eyes and could spot shimmering bait fish from far away - and zoom off

White Bay on Guana Is was too roughed up by an Atlantic swell today we didn't stay long. Now all owned privately by an american I think. Had no luck trying to sell it 30 years ago
