SA pays a high price for the fossil fuel power it imports and uses as a back up. There have been some ridiculous prices quoted at times using the current process.
A forward looking federal government would have supported the SA move to renewables to ensure the best result for the state and to gain valuable experience on a limited scale. I would like to see essential services owned and operated by us instead of selling it off to China as they have in SA in part.
There must be a way to turn coal into the charcoal they used to make terra preta?
What a fantastic way to use it, especially here with so many poor soils that could be ideal candidates for rejuvenating.

Thanks for such a decent reply. Much appreciated.
