re: dump coming artse
I am not stating that hole 2 and 3 WILL be average. But it is my opinion that the chances of a significant intersection on holes 2 and 3 are not as good as first thought. Why? - Hole 1 results indicate that the core photos they have shown are probably the best core they have. - They have only shown very short sections of core. If they wanted to give the market further confidence they would of shown a whole core tray (about 10m of core). 15cm of core does not provide evidence of consistency of mineralisation through the core. For example, Gunson a while ago found an IOCG system with over 2.5% copper over a 3m interval. Core photo’s from that 3m interval would of looked good too, but it wasn’t consistent through the core. - For these drill holes Monax would have had a geo on site logging the core. This would commonly involve the geo estimating the extent of any mineralisation in the core. Good geo’s can do this relatively accurately. They could definitely tell the difference between core of 1.5% grade (eg potentially a big economic find) or 0.13% grade (as was released on hole 1). From this logging process Monax should have a very good idea whether they are onto a significant resource. A big discovery in this case could be around 1.5% copper over a significant intersection. If they HAVE found such an intersection (I never stated they did) they would probably already know it – they wouldn’t have to wait for assay results. Given that Monax probably already know the likely (but not exact) results of holes 2 and 3 one can therefore usually draw inferences from the actions of the company thereafter. I believe they don’t sound like a company that thinks it has found a significant ECONOMIC discovery. - More significant results on Holes 2 and 3 does not necessarily mean its economic given hole one was very low grade.
Of course there’s a chance I may be wrong, I have acknowledged that. I am no geo, but my father has been involved in the mining industry for 35 years for one of the majors originally and as an executive for a number of companies. He has doubts as well which has influenced me. I was quite excited by initial reports of IOCG mineralisation and jumped on at 34c due to the potential of these IOCG systems. Subsequent drilling around Punt Hill may also find an elephant. Teck Cominico recently did step out drilling at Carrapateena and got very disappointing results. Turns out the mineralisation there is somewhat narrow but very deep. The Punt Hill results may therefore point to something big nearby.
You seem to believe MOX is a certainty and pump it up so. I disagree. NFI?
