Some of decision Peter Botten made were pretty stupid. He could have bought large stake in IOC when it was trading a rock bottom and use it as bargain chip during takeover. He did not. Rather than that he blew almost 80 Million dollars on advisors and lawyers (IOC Takeover) and ended with nothing.
