Here's what you miss EVERY SINGLE TIME @bruutz82 and I don't care what the individual investor's horizon is - whether that is short term or set and forget as you put it (have to be crazy to do that on a spec).
When the company puts out investor presentations that have 10 yr projections its fair game to analyze long term views, challenge those views, make determinations of what needs to happen for those projections to succeed and look at the risks.
When posters put up opinions (and that's all we have here) which reference sources in an attempt to "attach" AKK to that (e.g. your posts regarding the Permian) it is fair to either refute and even supply contrary opinions and sources. The reverse holds true too.
That's the discussion to be had. And if you think it has a short term influence go trade it. If you think this is time to enter for the longer term then go trade it. Put up your reasons if you care to and participate in point-counterpoint discussion if you can.
I'm short oil (the physical commodity). I even gave you which Futures contract. That doesn't mean I'm short say DVN or CHK (because I am long). That short isn't paying off particularly well at present (and neither is the long on the US$ index, courtesy of Fed movements of past week). Posters trades are their business. Get over yourself and get over the claim you made trading profits on AKK recently. Good for you but then we all know how you did it.
The biggest "street preacher" (your words) here is @bruutz82. Jonestown anyone?
