I don't want the facts to get in the way of a good story, but its incorrect to say, "Carsales has bought in at different prices from thirty odd cents per share through to $1.10 a share"
Around the end of April 2013, iCar Asia issued to carsales shares equivalent to 19.9% of iCar Asia’s issued capital.
Carsales paid 37.5¢ per share, equating to a total consideration of approximately A$13.4m.
(See iCar announcement 14 March 2013).
There was then a subsequent purchase last July/ August at 65c to bring the total holding to just over 20%.
I agree with the sentiment of the post, and the thoughtful comments but lets not BS ourselves when it comes to facts.
