Do we have enough lithium for the EV boom?, page-27

You can Google current energy usage by transport type, and see cars overwhelm all others. But be an uber-bull (i.e. way too unrealistic, IMO) and double the consumption from my numbers, as I suggested in the OP, and you still don't cause any concerns for supply from current resources. And they continue to grow. The Mt Holland (KDR, WSA, ZCN) pegmatite field looks like it could be another "monster", and so far indicates run-of-mill grades around 1.25% Li2O. From a speculators' POV, possibly up to another 50% of all future EV needs to be found there.

On recycling - looks somewhat problematic now, but as the consumption ramps up the recycling industry will expand and "refine" itself. Governments will support that initiative. Either way, lithium used is not lost. It will be directed to recycling streams. The car manufacturers themselves, also have an obligation to make that happen.
