With Condor’s General Meeting approaching on 5 July 2016 for shareholders to consider removal of the Darby, Darby and Feruglio, it is interesting to note how Darby has managed similar challenges in the past.
Lia Darby was Managing Director of Global Metals Exploration (GXN) throughout 2013. Trevor Sykes, in an AFR article published 26 June 2013, recounts how Darby issued 450 million GXN shares in an extremely dubious manner and within 40 hours immediately prior to a 249D General Meeting, directly resulting in Darby and another director “hanging onto office when they were facing the sack.”
