Well i suppose they have been shuttering mines since the eighty's so they have enough time to move away from coal.. the same cant be said for other parts of the world not so developed and like Australia will take many many years to make the transition, even with CSG coming on. This on the back of recent data suggesting australia is not keeping pace with their commitments to install other forms of power generation.. no money in the kitty from the polly's so not sure where the money will come from to match or claw back the shortfall..
Also lets see what happens next summer with SA coal free status achievement they are sprooking... i hate to say it but rolling load shedding will be going on and mums and dad will pay the price of massive energy costs for years to come.
