JC- you miss the point- there will only be a takeover bid after the EOFY when it could possibly tank to sub $20. KKR or whoever are not interested until it tanks as they will have to pay 20% minimum premium for a takeover anyway.
the so called suitors aren't silly- they wait for these opportune moments . that is why you will miss out big with your carry theory, as you have obviously paid 10% too much to stay in as a 'hold".
all you should do is buy in after results and you will not miss out , but also maximise your return.
