Also with regards to the sugar tax, imo, it's an inane idea. It punishes people who enjoy a sweet snack and are responsible enough to watch their caloric intake, or just don't have weight problems in general. It is not unhealthy when consumed in moderation and brings happiness to people drinking it.

I believe the majority of people who pop open a can of Coke are better for the act. I would think it's only a small minority who drink too much Coke (e.g. several cans a day) and who are genetically susceptible to weight problems that suffer from too much coke. (But then my feeling is that if they weren't drinking coke they'd probably be overweight from other means)

I do not believe the cost/benefit of a sugar tax adds up and do not expect it to be implemented outside a small minority of countries.
