    G'day GH.

    Yes, a sad day indeed.

“Whether and when to use any of the enforcement tools available under the law is always an operational decision, taken by the regulator, in pursuit of the object of the Environmental Protection Act,’’ Dr Miles said.
“These kinds of decisions are taken independently from the Government.’’

Sure they are taken independently, they are just told what to decide independently.

Today's Courier Mail goes on to say:
Environment Minister Steven Miles said yesterday the Government's recent "chain of responsibility" legislation could be used by regulators to persue related parties to Linc, including shareholders.

    The " SHAREHOLDERS "

What a load of absolute BS.

Is this brain dead State Government totally without any common sense???

If such action was taken against shareholders the whole Australian share market would collapse in a heap.

Do they not understand the importance that Limited Liability Companies have in this countries economy??

That is what the LTD is in the names of Australian companies.

If every shareholder who bought a share in an Australian company could be sued for damages if something went wrong then nobody would go anywhere near the stockmarket.

I cannot understand how those words by Dr Miles have not created massive protest from Australia's business community, large and small.

It seems Labor (sic) is intent on destroying Qld's economy totally.

    Lockitt
