It really depends on whether the Board / Mgt has interrupted the "discussions" as amounting to a formal unsolicited offer of sorts. Clearly they are arguing that for the moment there still is no formal offer and the bidder hasn't formally sought to put one to the company / shareholders...
Don't expect anything too soon...
