The Reactor at fukushima was intact I don't have an issue with it. The idiotic statistical calculation that a small chance of the wall breached by waves was text book error. Why put the backup power on the sea level? Cost deduction justify all the remote risks?
The image of a safe energy source is damaged regardless of advance fail safe mechanisms. Against the competing energy source, you now have legacy issues of the by products that takes thousand of years to decay and secure storage.
Too many hurdles of popular acceptance as main stream energy source. Good luck.
